My Used 100 Euro Kymco KB 50. Is giving me more hell that i need...........Unable to locate The VOLTAGE REGULATOR. I bought a new battery. Also im an American living in germany. So its not easy to communicate with others about parts. I am a Auto Tech for cars. But i bought this scooter to get over my fear of Motor Bikes. Figure this a good start to learn. Since i am a Tech and cheap as hell. Id rather do all the labor my self. Ive broken down the scooter about half way down to repair alot of the problems that happen with the prior owner. The main issue was a really bad oil leak. I repaired the problem and cleaned all the mess. lol. Being in the US ARMY taught me that its better to clean everything to find oil leaks. Ive replaced the battery. But i have to recharge ever few days. Ive bleed the oil. Maybe the VOLTAGE REGULATOR is defected. But im having a hard time locating the regulator. Maybe a replacement isnt needed at all. If someone could show me a pic and location. That would be so great. ..............Also my scooter is idle too high. Need to know were to adjust and how. Im a car guy. And im not ashamed to let folks know im not good with scooter. But i wanna learn all i can. Before i buy a REAL BIKE. Thanks for what ever help any one will give.

Hi.
The reg. is behind the front cowl, and the idle speed screw is the larger of the two on the side of the carb. The smaller screw is the idle mixture screw.

Thanks guy. I had to be very informative to get results that i needed. And you made my day alot easier. Ive ordered the regulator. Just waiting to install. Is there anything else i might wanna do. Besides adjusting the idle control. Any info would help. The asshole whole who sold me this scooter. Thought he was gettin over on me. But when its up and running he might think again on why he could not repair or think about the regulator.

Just test the voltage at the battery both when shut off, and when at a high idle. You should see 12 or so volts at idle, and above 13 at a high idle. That will show all is working.
