When you say dish soap blue do you mean like the squeezy liquid stuff for washing dishes?

If thats the stuff then be careful, most have salt in them which will rust your metal parts.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

I usually just use a wet towel for plastic parts, and use a screwdriver to loosen the dry dirt from the engine. :)
If the engine should be even more clean than just loosening the dirt, then take some paper (not toilet paper, but something that will suck but not dissolve) and clean metal parts with ethanol or gasoline, as these will get the dirt stuck to your paper and then evaporate. :D

Light dirt:  Water, microfiber cloth, shammy. Microfiber cloth for metal parts, shammy for body plastic ( to prevent scratching)

Heavy dirt: The above plus car shampoo.

Very heavy dirt/mud: Go to the car wash and have it cleaned/detailed. Will cost 40 to 45 pesos or around 90 U.S. cents.
