Agility 50 purchase concern
« on: April 23, 2012, 03:00:16 PM »
I have plopped-down a deposit on a Taiwanese-made, '06 Agility 50, 7,800 km.  The concern is that the engine oil has not been changed for nearly  4,000 kilometers and I am wondering if I should reconsider buying the scoot.  Any thoughts on this?   The only modifications to the scoot that I'm aware of is that it has only been deretricted.  Let me know what you all think.  Josh and Donald. chime-in if you can.  Thanks for your help.
I may be slower uphill, but I'm quicker at the gas pump!

If it runs well and dosn't smoke it should be ok , just change all the fluids and enjoy . Good luck .

If there have been the correct amount of oil for the 4000 km, it shouldn't be a dealbreaker, you should just change the oil as soon as you get it. :)
BUT you should try to talk him down in price, as this sounds like he doesn't know much about scooters, so a bunch of other stuff could be damaged, if he haven't been treating it well. :D
First Kymco agility 50 (2008) 11.000+ km (dead)
Second kymco agility 50 (2010) 20.000+ km. Project Fuel Injection. Stolen.
Kymco K-pipe 125 (2014) 7400 km.

..i agree, that you should be okay, as long as the oil level is near spec..

..imma see rico this afternoon, and if he wants it, i might just go ahead and get it for him..

..he's still waiting on his tax refund...
..every mod (action) necessitates a (reaction) mod..

Mine was 3yrs old when i got it, 8500km (ish) and it only had oil changes once/yr at service time by the previous owner. Its been fine, now got 18,000-19,000 km on it and running better than when i got it. :)
Chaos is my co-pilot.
