Like Front Rack???

Just curious if anyone else has experimented with a front rack for the Like? I plan on taking some extended trips this summer and will need all the storage I can get. I'm thinking about trying one of the vespa racks, one that doesn't bolt on, rather is held down by "ratchets".  I know the Like being plastic it probably isn't a good idea to snug them down as tight as you would on  a metal bodied vespa, but for lighter items I think it would be fine. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I'd do it, if you can make it fit.

Be careful, the Vespa scooters have steel body parts while the Kymco uses plastic. You could probably mount that rack but in use it would likely cause the plastic to break and/or fail at some point. Not a great idea in my opinion.

Yes, we need pics. I'm curious how you're going to attach it. Maybe run some C brackets to the screws on the opposite side of the leg shields?

Dolemite - thank you for the download.  It will come in handy.  I didn't receive my front rack yet.  On my way home from work today I drove through a  cold rain storm and even some hail. No damage to the bike though. I enison mounting the front rack to the Kymco chrome package that I reinforced beyond the manufacturer's recommendation. I mounted the chrome with some extra hardware.  All I can show you right now, if you are interested, is my windshield. Seems to work well, I mounted to my rearview mirrors. Here's some pictures.

Hi Dolemite,
I finally got the front rack.  Shipping took over a week from California.  I got it Friday and so I mounted it on Saturday. I wanted to use all stainless steel, unfortunately, I thought stainless steel would scratch the chrome, so I used aluminum custom brackets.  The bolts and nuts are all stainless steel.  In the picture I haven't tightened the nuts yet or cleaned off all the bugs or polished the aluminum. Here's a few pictures.
