Check the fuel cap vent.  Try running it with the cap off and see if it still cuts out.  Otherwise it could be an electrical issue that only appears after it gets hot.

Hey thanks for replys. It was starting fine and going again as normal after some hours.. But now,,, i went for a ride yesterday for around 1 hour stoping 3 times and it started fine. Then on the way home it did the usual, no power, down to just idle revs. Leaving me to really beleive it had too much gas and was flooding. But that is just a gut feeling, i dont know how these things work so could be anything. I then pushd the rest of the way, and an hour later.it started fine but died straight away. So i left it to take a look today. And now it wont even start :(

Could have lost compression, fouled spark plug, or flooded. Flooded isnt likely if you havent changed any carb settings or messed with it. What spark plug did you use? Id pull it and see what color it is. If it is flooding the plug will be wet. When you take the plug out, keep the bike turned to the "off" position, put your finger over tho spark plug hole and crank the bike over with the kick start. It should push your finger off it with some force.
Whatever you do do NOT use starting fluid, these engines need 2 stroke oil and starting fluid has none and will dry it. Use a few drops of premixed gas dropped into the spark plug hole to help start it if needed.

Hey guys. We took it all apart today. The carb is all looking good. The problems we did find and do have are now as follows :  Coil creates very little spark from the plug. . . The spark plug had ALOT of oil on the end.. So new coil is orderd soon. Blockd the oil now so will start mixing oil in with the gas. And i think that is it. It started 2 times today but died straight away. Now ot wont start atall.

Conclusion,

Oil on spark plug
Very poor spark from plug
Possible Cdi/Stator

Can these be the reasons it was running poor and stopping all the time?

You cant just block off the lines to the pump, it still spins. If it spins with out oil circulating it will heat up and then eventually seize, then it will mess up the gear driven by the crank and more issues follow. Go to Daywot on ebay and buy an oil pump plug for the honda dio/ elite 95+. the reason it stopped all the time was probably plug was fouled from oil. At least you figured out something! Good luck!

Could be loose connectors in the wiring. I just had that problem with my ZX. I kept thinking it was a fuel problem too. Turns out it was two small wires by the battery(guess they're to the stator or some ignition component) . Both had loose round bullet type connectors. I just squeezed the female connector with pliers slightly until the connectors fit snug into each other.

Thats good to know. Ive paid for the cdi ect now so ill try those when they eventually come, but if it is still bad then that helps to know it could be something so small :) thanks :)

Ok, here is the latest. . CDI and Stator arrived. . Wrong Stator :(. . Connected the CDI and it fired up 1 time, almost as if it was going to run again, but she was just teasing me and died again. .

The connectors on the CDI did not match to the connectors on the bike. So i clipped all the cables and did them straight to eachother. But i forgot wich of the green cables was going to nothing :(. . Shall i just connect them together?

Apart from that i am now waiting another 10-17 days for the new  Stator. So is there anything else i am missing or should be looking for?

Oh and now i have killed the starter relay box by the battery :(

The light green wire comes out of the cdi box and splices into the dark green wire. A scotch lock works perfect for this.

You can use a universal relay from any auto parts store. You'll have to pull the wires out of the factory connector then they'll slip right on the new relay. Much cheaper than ordering OEM.

The new Stator did not work, but it had an extra cable compared to the old stator. This 1 has a green cable. Where is that suposed to go? And if it is not the, Stator, Cdi box, Oil, Gas, Carburetor and the electrics look ok. Could it be the engine itself?
