Good news... The HPI parts came in today, (again), and all is well in Florida. The new cdi is perfect. The programs now save. They also included the fan adaptor that was missing from the first order, as well as the proper rotor. I talked to Willy about guestimate curves, and here is a screen shot of one. This is strictly a guess to test the program.
Here is a free degree tape I found thru Google. I have to bring home the flywheel to size it correctly. I also printed a degree wheel that I sealed to a dvd with clear spray paint. I'll post up picts of them both in use.
One final cool bit... Hippie Carl met a guy from Missouri that owns a Harley dealership. He took on a line of scooters about a year ago. Poor sales. Carl showed him the threads on the ZX build, and the guy wanted to meet. The idea of a complete custom build has been thrown down to get people interested in scooters in his area... I see either a NEW build for him, or the transfer of ownership of the ZX (for a nominal fee of course). This is pretty damn exciting for me. I'd LOVE to do a custom build for ANYONE never mind a dealer. I also have some interest in one of parts on both this, and SI forums. I may see the light at the end of the Boating tunnel. Don't want to count chickens before they hatch but I MUCH prefer building to maintaining.
Anyway you guys all rock. I appreciate all the love/hate/indifference. Whatever the result at the end of the day... Posting/hanging w/ you all is really the high point to any day.
