Tightening Mirror on 2009 Super 8

It sounds simple enough, but I can't figure out how to tighten the right mirror on my super 8 to keep it from drooping (it's tight at the handlebars).

There's something below the mirror, like a collar, that spins around, but won't tighten. If that's a bad sign, any idea where to get an exact replacement mirror? Thanks!

If you're talking about where the mirror joins the stalk, I don't think that's adjustable. You could try sliding that rubber collar off and seeing if the ball joint underneath has a nut to tighten it, but as I said, I don't think it can be tweaked. If you don't insist on an exact fit, there are generic replacements available for 25 bucks or so (http://www.scrappydogscooters.com/COMMON_PARTS.html). There are a lot on ebay starting around $16.

I have the same problem with the right mirror of my s8. I don't like replacement mirrors, instead I'm considering stock mirrors of other motorcycle/scooter brands. This is a stock mirror of a local kawasaki motorbike that looks nice.

Thanks. I'm temporarily using strong tape, and might even try to use a liquid metal epoxy. If that doesn't work, I'll look into new mirrors like you suggest, unless there's a way to find exact replacements. Be well and thanks to both of you!!!

Why not try Goop instead of epoxy. Goop is somewhat flexible and can absorb vibrations.

You mean that rubber boot thingy? I just put some silicone glue on mine never got attitude from it again.
