Funny how laws don't work out most of the time.

You can say that again....  They require drivers and passengers to wear seatbelts but they allow riding on the pick-up truck bed without any safety gadgets at all.  What's the logic here?

..yes, you're right!!   it is 16...

..i guess itsa good thing tho....

..cause, back in th' day, when i was in elementary school, we all would gather at grammas every sunday, everybody (big people) would bring a dish, we would eat, watch football or stockcar racing...then all us cousins would pile in the back of a pickup, and one of our half-drunk uncles would haul all of us around the 3 mile gravel road block...

...best seat was on the edge with your bare feet and legs dangling off the tailgate...

..yeaaahhhh...back then....

I would get a 125 or 150.  I started out on a 50 4stroke Honda and going uphill was a scary proposition as the traffic would back up on me quickly.

I did like the gas mileage I got out of it.

When I lived in MO you didn't have to register a 50 nor tag it.  However, many a person asked me if you had to have a license for it.  Since a lot of them had lost theirs, this seemed like a good way to cheat the system.  Unfortunately, I believe they have to have a valid drivers license to operate a motorized bicycle (which is what they consider anything under 50cc).

On top of this, MO has the stipulation that it can't go over 30 as well (there's something about brakeing horsepower limits but how the heck one measures that, I don't know).  I imagine any cop that wanted to could hassle you.

In Kansas, you have to license and tag a 50.  Still, no motorcycle endorsement is required.

I see a whole lot of people that get a 50, do all sorts of mods to them (2 strokes), and then can't understand why they overheat and just exhibit a general level of unreliability.

Really , I don't mind the gearheads talking about souping up thier scoots , they know the risks vs. the rewards . I just wish they would add some sort of disclaimer like " don't try this at home " like on the tv and movies .

Have to admit... I'm too scared to run it out on the street.

When I was small, there were only around 2-3 flights a day in our province's airport.  The rest of the day, it was used for drag racing.  Now it became an international airport with lots of plane traffic. Damn population!

You just may be bitching some more when I land with four Presa Canarois, and a 90mph scooter.  I'll help get rid of the riff raff tho. I'm good at running people off. somehow
