Slipping during accel and cruising
« on: May 25, 2012, 03:30:45 AM »
Has anyone else here ever noticed a sort of a slipping feeling while accelerating or just cruising I feel it on mine very often, it almost feels like the belt is slipping but I checked it and it's still got plenty of life left in it. Any ideas?

You checked the belt surface? There should not be a shiny part on the belt.

Grease or dirt on the variator or pulley?

Worn clutch pads, or glazed pads, or worn clutch bell? Give it a sand down if it is.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

..a thorough cvt inspection/cleaning seem in order...

..a lot of dust can build up in there, and cause all kinds of issues...

I'm getting ready to put on the malossi multivar so while I have the cvt cover off I'll give everything mentioned a good on e over, hopefully solves the issue, I have a feeling that's all it is.

My agility did the same thing
there for take off both your clutches and use 100 grit sand paper on clutch shoes, the bell, and any other surface that your belt contacts with
