80 to 100 miles is no problem, you might get tired after that and be a hundred miles from home.

The machine will run long and strong, just don't over tax it and listen for unusual sounds going up or down hills, otherwise ride it til it drives you crazy.

As far as you want but with stop-overs. Snacks, drinks, toilet, stretchings, and letting the scoot cool down a little. It's better to have your wife ride because the super 8 likes this because it has stiff shocks. Riding solo is quite rough on your butt. I know, I have a super 8.  ;D

The thing to be cautious of is the risk of having Deep Vein Thrombosis. This is blood clotting in the blood vessels if you drive or sit for a very long time without your legs moving. So, a short stop-over is needed for you to stretch and walk around and avoid this.

I have a 2009 S8, well it's my wife's and mine is a grandvista 250. Me and the wife just did 130 miles today and the temps were 92 degrees. She ran great all day. I run 50 weight oil thru the summer for the higher temps. You will find that taking breaks are nice. We go about 20-30 miles at a time. The seat design could be improved on to help out.

I bought my super 8 used for the wife to learn on with 4500 miles on it. I changed all the fluids when I got it and put full synthetic in the oil and gear lube, new air filter and spark plug and she runs like a dream. Maintenance is simple and cheap, which is y we invested in scooters instead if motorcycles. As long as u keep up with the maintenance you'll have now problems. Oil changes are key especially since there is no oil filter.

Also it only cost us $10 in fuel for 2 scoots on 130 miles!
