If your not burning oil your probably good. Haven't really topped mine out yet but it gets up to 50 pretty easy

in addition to all the other comments remember for all intent and purposes this is a 150cc engine. so it only has so much to give. still, it should get to over 60mph indicated and at least that much actual. heck my Agility has seen 72mph a few times (64mph actual) and its a 125

also unless the FI system NEEDS high octane gas for some reason (doubt it) just use 87. do not use 92 imo as its not necessary and burns too hot. i have read it can actually have an adverse affect on performance and durability. a change to 87 may help your performance or not but down the road it should be better for the scooter

The owners manual calls for high octane unleaded.  I suggest you follow that recommendation.

all well and fine

87 here and 64mph out of a 125. so i am comfortable with my recommendation

so far as using what the manual calls for? its not always necessary or best. for instance my A125 manual calls for 15w40 dino oil. but many use synthetic. hell, maybe even most. and of different weights. and all that is fine, too. but not what the manual calls for and no harm is done. same with octane rating for gas.

the Kymco 125cc is the 150cc is the 163cc. Unless the FI system requires higher octane these small engines don't need it. does it make a difference in performance? for some, maybe. But for many others not

i used to use 92, too. but i went to 87 a few months back with no adverse affects. speedo hit 72mph the other day with 87. that fuel is fine and its cheaper. these are simple, small engines. they don't need "premium" anything. especially if their is even a small chance of higher octane fuel doing harm. lower octane certainly does no harm in my expereince

i also use the 15w40 dino oil. after all, its what the manual recoommends  ;)

Another point... don't buy fuel anywhere even if the brand is the same. Different stations are in different locations, different conditions, and are managed differently by different people.  Stations must be clean, pumps calibrated daily, pumps must undergo regular maintenance, tanks water/moisture free, etc.

I experimented with three different gas stations of the same Company(brand) and got three different results. (quantity and quality-wise)...   ;)

I have used 87 before in my chinese scoot...  it's ok..

Very cool... and my euro hi-vis orange helmet and can start supplementing my income!
I'll pull over peeps for rolling stops! lol

I pulled the CVT cover and blew out the belt dust Vivo talked about.  I was sure to aim for the holes in the clutch housing and saw significant dust fly out of there.  Immediately I got the responsive clutch back.  Yep, mine gets up to 50 pretty easily.  Let me know if you also ultimately get up to 60 or more ckg before I yank and hone the engine this winter... If at 1100 miles that's plenty for hopeful break-in... maybe it's time for some synth.

I use nothing but synthetic oils. It keeps everything nice, and clean

Like Fernando Lamas used to say on the Carson show, "Johnny, It is better to look good than to feel good"   ;D  I'm ordering my PA speakers as we speak.
