How often do you wash it because of bugs?

I sometimes visit those automated cars wash thingies 3 times a day.
It's gettin' expensive.

Can't find a friggin' windscreen on any bike that I'm happy with, and I can't
afford to have 2 right now.

That PUIG looks great, could use it for summer (100F+).. but at 125 euros + shipping, it
costs more then what I paid for mine with is 3-4 times it's size!

I keep my windscreen waxed with Turtle Wax "Ice" synthetic liquid polish.  The bugs easily wipe off with a damp cloth.  I'll usually keep a microfiber cloth and and an Ice detailing spray bottle under the seat in case I run into a swarm of bugs during the day.

My entire scooter (everything except tire tread!) gets the Ice synthetic polish.  The painted body panels look great, the black plastics stay dark and new looking, the bugs wipe easily off the windshield, the seat stays looking new, less dust sticks to the wheels, etc.  Can you tell that I like this stuff?  :)

Thank you Ailixhomes..  The windshield above is sporty looking but does not appear to offer much protection from the wind, bugs, etc.  I use the Givi windshield which is quite large but I am very satisfied with it.  Here are some photos of my scooter at a bike gathering - you can see the Givi installed:

Thank you for the nice comments about the bike.  Before recommending a place to purchase it would help to know what area of the world you are located in?

So, do you like the stuff?  ;D

I'm afraid to touch my windscreen with anything because of scratches, but I do sometimes use wax in
those do-it-yourself car drive-ins, but that's probably not the same since it doesn't seem to do anything.

At any speed beyond 55mph the bugs just stick on..

Givi is an Italian company that sells it's products in many countries/markets.  Most Givi windshields are made to fit each bike model individually for example the D294ST is made specifically to fit the Kymco Downtown 125/300 scooter.  Givi does offer a line of universal-fit windshields which are shown on the following link:
http://www.givi.it/Screens--spoilers/Universal-screens/

As Ckline3783 mentioned above Premier Cycle Accessories in Ohio has the Givi D294ST for $175.50 but I believe you have to pay for shipping costs - possibly Ckline can advise us?  HelmetHead Cycle in Georgia has it for $187 which includes shipping anywhere in the continental US so it's possibly a better deal.

Mine was purchased from a local dealer as part of a package of multiple items so I don't have the individual cost that I paid for the windshield.

HelmetHead Cycle:
http://www.helmetheadcycle.com/product/13091/givi-d294st-kymco-downtown-300i-09-12-windshield

The height and width of the D294ST is 32'' (81.5cm) x 25.19'' (64cm) and it is 6.10'' (15.5cm) higher than the original/stock windshield.

There are some other tall/large windshields available that I may try in the future if my Givi gets damaged or broken (although so far my Givi has been great).  Isotta from Italy makes this one:

Cortez uses a windshield on his Downtown made by another Italian company, Biondi, which also looks like a very nice product:

Yeah!
Works for me!

No wind anywhere, just a slight buffeting.. you can ride with an open
face helmet at top speed and visor up while talking with the
passenger in the back.  ;D

Off topic for a second: In my line of work I get to meet a lot of folks from all over the world.  Because of this I often attempt to learn bits and pieces of any language I can.  I also try to figure out where folks are from to see if I have an opportunity to practice any foreign words.  In my attempt to figure out where someone here is from I think I've met my first computer-generated Forum Bot after typing a somewhat lengthy answer to one of this persons questions..  Not yet 100% convinced but we shall see..

ailixhomes, I am very happy that I could help you.  Are you planning to install a Givi windshield on the moped shown in your photo?  What kind of windshield do you have installed on it now and how do you like it?  Also, if you are by chance from India I would like the opportunity to practice some of the words I have learned, thank you.
