Change the main jet
« on: June 07, 2012, 01:58:57 PM »
I was thinking about shifting the Main jet on my Kymco Agility 50 4t,
but it looks like I have to take the carb off just to change it.. ?
How do I change the Main jet easy?

Thanks

Theres a vid and info in this link, http://www.kymcoforum.com/index.php?topic=6198.0

Its pretty easy really, just make sure you refit the rubber gasket back in properly on the float bowl before you close it all back up. Should be a 10 min job.

Probably took me 30 mins my first time :)

I'm like word now. 5 mins.

A word of advice, don't remove anything you don't have to(throttle cable, wiring). All you need is to be able to turn it sideways and remove the bowl.

I really hate doing it myself. Every time seems like the time it's all going to break/tear a seal/loose a float pin.  I'm happily getting into injection instead for a daily driver.

They want 2,250.00 out the door for a 2010 SR Factory, and I am trying to get them to throw in the HGT fuel re mapping with it. They say they contacted him but no answer. I'll give a shout tonight. They can send the fuel controller to him, and he can ship it back to me... Simple... not. Now I have to go back to Tampa on Friday. if they go for it. There are three more leftovers from 2009 that are just as nice, and a bit cheaper too. In Miami tho. almost 8 hours from here.

There's four of those in MI. I called on them today, all brand new 2009's just like the ones you're looking at, but just under $2,000. Might be worth looking into shipping costs and going about it that way.

Hi guys, I opened my carb today and guess what..

There was a 82 main jet in there from before  :o

I dont understand.. What is the original jet size on the Agility 50?

Is the tuning jet (that is also 82) another MM in lenght or width or something?

Please help!
Thank you.

Then why do everyone say that I should change to a 5mm 82?
