Just as a matter of interest, what sort of k's have you guys been getting out of your tyres ?  The little pony came shod with Maxiss Classics. They seem okay and handle fine, I've just never been a big fan of nylon tyres. But then again, I've only ever ridden the bigger bore trail bikes running rubber tyres. Would be interested to hear any opinions.

:-\ As far as my last post goes, maybe I might have to let you guys know hey!
Anyway, another top little ride today gang. Out through the Burringbar ranges again .. one of my favourite rides, beautiful countryside and exellent swooping hills and bends. You couldn't get much better motorcycle country. Kept on going out through them there hills to a little place called Nimbin to visit all the hippies ;D . After a nice little vego feed, and a peace, be cool ol time, headed back down to the coast to Byron Bay, then home ... I'm a spoilt little sh** aren't I  :).
Now I don't know if it was my imagination or not, but most of the hog riders out today seemed to be a miserable bunch of stuck up c###ts, with miserable looks on their faces. Maybe I've got it wrong, but I always thought going out for a ride was to be having a nice ol time and to put a smile on ya dial. I've just got to stop being so damn happy and content with what I've got, that's my bloody trouble ! Now I'm not saying  they're ALL like that, coz I know a few Harley riders that are really nice people, but 90% of them seem to think they're something special.  I passed heaps of different bikes coming the other way .. Dukes, Trumpys Beemers, all kinds of Jap bikes etc, and most give a wave or knod of the helmet, but, oh no, not the Harley riders. Maybe some of them have realized they could have bought a heaps better bike or something, I dunno, so stuff em I reckon !
There ARE three good reasons to buy a Harley though in my opinion, and they are:-
1: You don't mind sitting on the side of the road practicing the motorcycle mechanics course you recently did.
2: You don't mind sitting on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck coz you didn't do that motorcycle mechanics course.
Or
3: You were just being nice to your wife or girlfriend by buying her a very expensive vibrator with wheels and a Harley Davidson badge on each side.
Now if you did it for reason 3 guys, you'd better hope you have'nt put your self out of business in in other certain areas hey.
So to all you HAPPY bikers, keep on cruizing gang.
To all the miserable ones, I feel really sorry for yaz.
Regards,
Hairy Bob  8).

You bloody beauty !!! Here we are, just gone 8a.m. Saturday morning, clear blue sunny late autum morning and the air is crisp and cool. Just scoffed a bite to eat. The pony's saddled up and gassed up ready to go. I,ve just started her up, and she's warming up as I'm dropping  you groovers this quick line. I hope I'm not boring you all with my little raves, but I honestly wish you guys (and girls of course ) could come with me out through some of the countryside that I'm blessed with having right on my doorstep. So this is as close as I can come to sharing my good fortune with you all.
Anyway gang, I'm outta here.
Hope you all have a bonnzer day coz I know I'm gonna.
Ride safe.
Regards, Hairy Bob  ;)

I'm really diggin' yer cruise reports, Bob-o, especially the bash-up on the Harley tools.

As you can imagine, here in the wild, wild West, there's abunch of 'em, although they only come out on the weekends, if the sun is up, and it's warm and dry, which is most of the time.

But they all wave, even when I'm on a scooter, and they're an amiable lot if you meet a bunch in a parking lot. In fact, I can't wait to show off my mini-magnum V-Rod next time there's a ride to Madrid, which is a cool little artist and hippie town halfway between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, on the Turquoise Trail. It used to be a coal and silver mine in the 19th century, and the mountains hills and curves are a blast to cruise.

Yesterday as I'm crossing the Rio Grande on my silver Venox, we came to a stop and some dude with Harley stickers all over his truck rolls his window down and asks what kinda bike is that?

Yeah, it's a Kymco 250, and it gets 80 miles to the gallon, I lied. He grinned appreciatively, looking like he'd just seen the coolest thing ever. I proudly bashed off when the light turned green, so he could see my tailight.

Maybe we oughtta get Kymco t-shirts, belt buckles, hats, emblems, stickers, and all kinds of paraphenalia like the HD dudes, and even start a Kwang Yang Motorcycle Club.

Yeah, next time somebody asks, I'll tell 'em, "It's a Kwang Yang."

Hey ce, great to hear from you mate. I was wondering where you'd got to. You've been missing in action for a while. Glad to hear you've still got your "mini-magnum V-Rod" (I like that !), and you've been getting some good rides in. They're a top little machine hey. That Madrid sounds very nice, reckon it might be a bit like Nimbin near here, with the same type alternate sort of people ... very cool indeed ol chap.
I'm still running the stock sprockets and chain on the pony, and I'm consistently getting 26klms per litre. The lowest was a a little over 24 klm per litre, that was two up and a lot mountain range riding working the gears heaps, and the highest has been 29klm per litre, but that was all pretty flat country cruising out west. So according to my calculations, ( sh**, I'm giving myself a bloody headache here ! ) if 1 U.S. gallon = 3.785 ltrs, and 0.621 miles = 1 klm, my worst has been about 58 m.p.g, and best, 68 m.p.g but roughly averaging 62 m.p.g. So you only spun ol mate with all the Harley stickers a little bit of a yarn ... doesn't hurt to leave 'em guessing anyway does it.  ;)
Dig your idea of the new motorcycle club too mate, that's an absolute cracker !! Do you need a Seargent at Arms ? I'm available if you do.  ;D
Anyway ce, like I said, great to hear from you amigo.
Take care, and ride safe.
Regards, Hairy Bob.

Nice sharing there folks! I'm not sure I'll like the "mini magnum v-rod" name..seems like a "trying hard to be a Harley" thing... Kwang Yang is more appropriate... How about a V-Nox  ;)  I wish I can have a V-nox but it's not available in this part of the world... The most common big ride here is the Honda CB400... lots of them here and lots of parts.... them bikes are cheap too...  This is our famous zig-zag roads and it would be nice for cruising... Ride safe folks!

Hey there Vivo, that definately is one sh** hot looking piece of road you've got there ol mate  :P. As far as ce's mini magnum v-rod thing, I think that might be a bit of tongue in cheek hang sh** on Harleys, not trying to be one of the heaps of crap  ! I bloodywell hope so anyway  ;).
How have you been going anyway amigo ? hope you've been getting a few nice little rides in here and there.
Best regards fella,
Hairy Bob.

Well, don't you worry about a thing Vivo, coz ol Hairy Bob's had a friggin brainwave ... sh**, it hurt though !  We ain't gonna have to PAY for no tickets ol mate ... oh no, coz do you know why ... coz we're gonna be the friggin support band ... that's bloodywell why ! Wadda ya reckon sport, are you up for it or what ??  That way, not only do we get to see 'em for free, we get to party with the lads after the gig ! We'd just better make sure we've got our seat belts on extra tight for the partying bit though, from what I hear about ol Stevie baby's mind altering habits.  So ... was that a brilliant idea, or what ?  8)

Rockin' an a reelin' all night long ...

And to all our fans ... Yes, we will be signing copies of our album after the show !  ;)

Hey there fellow cruisers . Not a lot of things piss me off in life, but for some reason, this certain issue has, and I would really appreciate YOUR take on the matter. Please refer to Venoxboy250's post regarding " full service manual for venox 250 ".

True enough Vivo ol mate. I guess what really got to me, was up untill now when I've been looking through the forum, in all the different sections, everyone seems more than willing to help everyone else in what ever way they can. Two blokes that spring to mind straight away, are You, and Max Oradea. You guys are always on the forum trying to help people out, and you deserve full credit for your efforts and goodwill. THEN, you get some bloody nunga coming along trying to pull some pissweak stunt like that ... Oh, don't start me off again for Christs' sake !!!
Anyway, hope everyone gets some time over the weekend to get a nice ride in. I know I'm going to.
Ride safe gang,
Regards, Hairy Bob  8)

Hey there fellow cruisers. I hope you've all been able to get out and about a bit here and there, no matter what your choice of ride. I must admit, I've been a bit slack on the motorcycle riding side of things last weekend and yesterday. There's been quite a bit of nice surf around lately, so ol Hairy Bob's been out chasin' a few stray waves so to speak :D. But it's okay gang, before anyone gets any ideas about reporting me to the R.S.P.C.A. for being cruel and neglecting the little pony, she's all saddled and fueled up out the back as we speak. It's an absolute cracker of a day and I'll be taking her out for a damn good run as soon as I've finished this.
So, take care and ride safe.
Best regards as usual.
