You could have changed the weights in the multivar too.
The most popular choice is 22-24gr or 20-22gr dr pulley sliders.
You'd still have 8000 with 20gr sliders at full throttle, but not that high revs on higher
cruising speeds.
I put 14gr sliders in original CVT and got about 6500 revs at full throttle accelerations
and 500 revs less at any speed above 60mph compared to the stock 15.5gr setup.
75mph is at 6500 for example, and stock bike will do 7000 at 75mph, but more
importantly, now I have power to overtake at 50-55mph which I didn't have before
because the bike was stuck at 5500 revs.
Finely tuned multivar should be able to do this even better.
I've already got the suggestion to keep the stock spring (I got the yellow malossi spring),
and I know I won't like the 20gr weights that it comes with. I'll try it for a while and then
decide which slider weight to get.
I'd want at least 7000 revs at WOT.
