New Owner
« on: May 09, 2009, 11:49:05 AM »
I am the owner of a new Super 8.  I never would have imagined myself on anything motorized with 2 wheels 2 years ago but I am so glad  I have seen the truth!!  So much fun, can't wait to have it properly broke in so it can be ridden the way it should.  If it would only stop raining around here.... >:(

I got the yellow/blue one.  It is my 2 of my kids favorite colors so they are happy!  Except my third one who likes pink  ;D

I hear you.  Yellow/blue is a nice combination.

I'm trying to get a luggage carrier for my Super 8, but I cant find any that are made for it.  Any suggestions?

I just bought a Super 8 150 as well (blue & yellow).  Apparently the shop had one other blue and yellow that sold the day before.  That person requested they put on a carrier.

I got to see what it looked like installed.  They had to drill through the grab handle in the back to attach it.

I believe it looked like one of the SHAD's - you can see them here: http://www.columbiascooters.com/racks.htm.  I'm 99% sure they purchased it there as well (same place I bought my super 8 ).

I have had my green/black 150 for about a month now and love it. The color isn't very photogenic; pictures just don't do it justice. In real life it looks very good. I just got to 600 miles yesterday, officially breaking in the engine and got it up to 63 (according to the speedometer) I will take my GPS along next time to see how accurate that is.

Aside from wanting to get a bigger windshield, I've ordered some green reflective rim tape and helmet decals to make me more visible at night.  I'd also like to get a storage bin on the back, maybe even saddle compartments. Does anyone recommend a particular brand?

I'm thinking about the bin and/or saddlebags but I don't want to ruin the look of the scoot. I'm currently going with the spider web bungie for my stuff. Send a pic if you get a bin.

Did you see the deck bag that Givi has for sitting between your feet? CBXMAN has it on their website.

here are a few pics of the Shad 29 liter box that came with the wifes 150 People as a promotion from Kymco but she scoffed at the idea of
having it on her bike sine it doesn't"match" the brown seat or the seafoam green paint- go figure.

i'll only use it when i need it for something in particular-
like locking my full face Arai up!!

any way here they are:
