new roller weight placement in variator

Rookie question probaby but how do you place new roller weights in to replace stock ones?
I bought some 5g dr pulley rollers not sliders. They have one smooth side and one side with a metal insert showing...  which side faces the right when dropped in?  thanks!

Plastic side to the left as you look into the roller spaces, metal to the right.
Chaos is my co-pilot.
