That's like asking how much horsepower a 4 door car has.

Yup, 49cc is just the displacement of the engine.. the volume the piston displaces in it's upward stroke...

Other factors determine horsepower (again there's brake HP , wheel HP, etc.) or engine power like the carb, or fuel injection, cams, valves, engine weight, ignition, etc. etc. etc.

A 1600cc car engine with single overhead cams, 8-valve, twin barrel carburetor has a lower horsepower than a 1600cc with double overhead cams, 16-valve, double twin side draft carbs.  ;) ;) ;)

N/a. Scoot has 2 wheels, horse 4 legs.

If one horse is faster than another horse, does it mean that the other has more horsepower? They have one horsepower each, right?   ??? ??? ???

2-4hp for most available 49cc scoots. 2t or 4t

ok this is what im trying find out. I see a few mini bike around here with 5hp motors on theam and they have theam sit up for rideing on the streets like mopeds is a 5hp brigs the same horse power as a 49 cc gy6 scooter motor like the agilty 50 have in theam. how do they get away with a 5 hp pull start brigs on a mini bike that you can ride on the streets. they have all the lights and eveything.even the moped sticker.

Over here it is possible to convert mini bikes to ride on the road but the effort and time to do it makes it not worth it really so no one does it.

Maybe you need to move to Cali? http://www.pocketbikesunlimited.com/STREET-LEGAL-SUPER-POCKET-BIKES.html

You can really open up those 5hp briggs engines. Off the shelf the performance sucks, but they do have around 200 cc displacement and performance can be improved a lot. If you keep them stock they're practically bulletproof.
