Vehicles/bikes using these Briggs engine are a menace on our streets here.  These are being used as public transpo on rural areas and some urban streets.  They have no registration, no insurance, drivers with no license... etc., and when accidents happen , you cannot do anything...

Yeah, nobody can do anything about it here too.  But it's unfair, 50cc scooters have to be registered and insured but the "Briggs" bikes don't have to be registered.  ???    Hmmm... come to think of it....I might build one of those Briggs mini bikes....  ::)

Anything that drives on our roads and is motor driven must be insured and registered and must have a yearly test. Also the rider/driver also has to have the proper license for it, you cannot just jump on anything and use it here.

Even some kids get pulled over for riding these 5-10mph electric scooters and told they must be on private land and kept off public roads!  Crazy. Luckily i passed my car test before the laws changed so i can use that to ride up to a 50cc with no need for tests. A new rider now has to sit a basic test even for a 50cc or less.

Its all just a money making exercise for gov.

This is a grey area here, that one above would need indicators, lights, license plate, yearly test cert etc to use here. Some fok usecycles with pedals and electric motors but sooner or later these will get hit on too here.

The issue with motorized bikes here is to be legally "on the road" it has to pass DOT safety (not). You cant title/tag one so they are illegally on the road in Fl.

What about electric bikes? These are exempted from registration here.

Same. They cannot be titled so they cannot be ridden on the roads. Not on the sidewalks either... That's a motorized vehicle ...
