Tips For Tupperware Party?
« on: July 08, 2012, 10:56:11 PM »
Tried to take a look at converting blinkers to body so as to mount a windscreen today. Loosened visible screws but everything was still tight. Any tips on getting plastics off would be greatly appreciated. Was afraid to pry too hard and break something ??? Thanks Ahead :)

Some plastic covers use screws and snap in type fasteners. I wouldn't pry with anything or it will break. Just work at it with your hands, take your time. You'll figure it out  :)

I just installed a HID headlight and you will see the tabs inside the ends of left and right handlebars. The tabs can be pushed with a small flat blade screwdriver to open them up to separate the plastic cover. There are also three more tabs at the top. One in the middle and two to both sides at the top. There is one screw in the small black windscreen that you will see after removing the two screws loooking at the dash under the windscreen. This will pop up and out of place. This should open the entire cover after all the screws and mirrors have been removed.

Kymco`s tabs generally snap when you look at them, they are rigid and prone to breaking off. After my experience with People and one day spent to remove plastic parts and put them back on just to change coolant and brake fluid, I would pay the mechanic ANY TIME do to that job for me.
