Welcome from the congested Central Europe!
Have made only one trip through Norge, Suomi and Sverige, I was very impressed.
Unfortunately my family doesn't like the "wild" and lonesome nature.
In your country I had an experience with your police which is nearly impossible in our country:
I wanted to visit the moose farm, but didn't knew the exact location. So I asked for the way at the police station in village.
The entry door was open - not closed and armored. No bell or speaker or guard.
On the corridor some doors were open too. I took the next open door, knocked and looked into. The desk was empty.
But I heard a noise, checked around the open door and found the officer behind at the coffee machine.
He was very pleased having the chance to explain the way.
I arrived at the moose farm, but unfortunately it was closed this day.
And suddenly a police car arrived too. Huh!?
The officer appologized for not mentioning the moose farm had their closed day. But he collected more information material from the tourist office with different sight seeings etc., gave it to me and wished me a nice stay.
In my live I had met many polite police men. But never a police station with wide open doors and never an officer which might be police and tourist manager in one person!
