What pipe is it. Your main jet seems a little big in my humble opinion. Try a 95.

Yup too rich prob. Check the plug and i bet its all black and sooty.

Depending how black it is ypu will have to judge how much to rejet down which means buying a selection of jets and plugs and going thro them till it runs well and the plug reads good.

Chaos is my co-pilot.

It's crazy how much jet sizes can differ too. Anytime someone standardizes the jet size with a certain setup I can almost guarantee it won't be right, aside from the de-restricting.

When I bought an 85cc kit from Scootertronics they said a 95 jet was what I should use with my specific setup, since then I've installed a 72cc kit instead and I have a 105 that's in right now that's running lean, about to go up to a 110 or higher.

Would an oversized jet affect acceleration ?

I would think it would affect acceleration, top speed and midrange depending on how oversized it was. I know when I had a 95 in with my setup it wouldn't go above 15mph because it was so starved. Seems like the opposite would be possible as well.

Yes if the jetting is not right it will affect acceleration, overall power and uphill speed too.

Im in Glasgow and i reckon ive narowed mine down to a 94-96 after months of trial and error so you may luck out on the 95 jet. No 2 scoots are ever the same tho, too many variables, but you never know it may be there or there abouts.
Have you checked to see how the plug thats in now looks?

Mine ran with a 102 in it, even ran with a 110 in it too but it was too rich for me and i had the same symptoms you described. Just be sure to keep an eye on the plug once you chamge the jet out, youre going to need a new plug now to be sure since the one you jave in mow will be blackened and you wont be able to get a reading off it now from the new jet.
