CDI Module?

Hey all! I just found these forums early this morning and have already learned quite a few things! (I think I'm going to do the air horn install...I'm tired of having people cut me off!)

It looks like I have an issue with my CDI module and I'm trying to figure out which CDI to use as a replacement. I've looked at a few on Monster Scooter Parts, and when I called their service department, they knew absolutely nothing, and I can't find much more about these.

Try stadiumyamaha.com.  I think there's a discount for mentioning this forum, and they were real helpful when I emailed/called them.

What's wrong with your CDI module?

The scoot is having that random rev down and shut off thing happening, which has been traced to that after replacing the spark plug, working on the carb and all that. It's the only thing I haven't changed yet other than major components.

I'll give them a call. Thanks for the recommendation!

You bet.  I've ordered from a couple of Internet sellers of Yamaha parts, since I own a Yamaha, and they've all been pretty good.  That one I've spoken to on the phone, too, and they were real helpful, both about the Yamaha parts and the Kymco parts.  And I am not getting paid/have no affiliation, etc.  Lemme know how the CDI thing works out.  I'm pretty new to scooters.
