Cool thinking about an open air filter for mine once I get the cvt right....
Crazy to think a little scoot can benefit that much from a little breathing. Good work!
From other posts some will think you might need a bigger jet still but sounds like you are on top of it with the plug checking...

..open air intake alone, requires more of a jet increase than the addition of an aftermarket exhaust alone...

...anytime you significantly increase air flow into the carb, with a free-flow filter in place of oem airbox, you must up-jet 10-15% in jet size!!

..given, the 4ts are a bit more forgiving, but blue..you gotta be running lean...

..of corse, i dunno how restrictive the shroud might be...

+1 even on a 90 i was lean, reckon i had it narrowed down to needing between 94-96.

Of course then i swapped my pipe and it went lean all over again so now i need to restart jetting again. Mine is off rigjt now cos i dont jave the time or weather right now, plan to revisit it after my holiday in a few weeks.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

Really can't base your jet size on what somebody else is using. There are plenty of variables in carburetor jetting including the type and size of the carb itself. Needle settings and taper. The mods you have. The way the CVT is set up. Then you have climate, altitude, etc... Word and zombie even say that tire pressure can change jetting.

Best way to do it is with a dyno. Since most of us don't have access to a dyno, plug chops are the way to go. And I see it get mentioned so much and then people say "well I checked the plug". It's not enough. There is plenty of info out there on plug chops by just doing a simple google search. Learning to read the plug is an art form. I'm certainly no expert. Still sharpening my skills on the plug chops. But I have done my homework and trust me you can spend days reading about it. GOOGLE IT!
