Can you recommend one for me? I wanted to run the stock belt too..... heard its the most durable. I plan on swapping out my rollers to something a bit lighter. I hear 6.5 or 7 are good in a stock scoot. Would the unrestricted pulley affect which rollers I choose? Sorry, complete noob with the cvt's.

..i've had no luck with aftermarket pulleys as of yet..

..i'm going to order a agility 50 set, as i've gotten over 55,000 miles of good service out of mine..

..as far as roller weight, you'll just have to see what works best with your scoot...

After having the clutch springs in for a few days it seems they have lost some strength.Now I'm back to a lag/buildup before it hits the butter rpm zone (8500) then launches.On the plus side my top end is through the roof (needle way past the 50 MPH mark and it's way into the MPH/KMPH marking all the way to the right) and midrange couldn't be better for a stock engine.Now this was a cheap set of spring from racing planet,I'm wondering if a better set may last longer or do I just need to bite the bullet and drop the coin on a clutch? I'm just wondering why I can't seem to debug this problem....it seemed so good a few days ago.I don't think the flys are that worn and the bell doesn't look to be either but is it possible/likely they have anything to do with it? I can't quite get over the top end though...the feel is significantly faster (did I mention it hauls ass!) ,glad I keep a descent set of tires on it.I've been playing with a new OEM belt,and it is a factor in the higher top end,but the lag still occurs with either belt.

.get yu some stiffer clutch fly springs, and that may take care of the lag...

..might have to re-tune your roller weight after that..

Tecnigas next R pipe
Jasil variator
1500 rpm torque spring
2000 rpm clutch springs
new OEM belt
recently repacked the exaust
currently using 6.25 rollers which I dropped back to after initilally using the 6.75's right after the torque spring change

On another note some surfaces inside the variator don't look as smooth as the should be (in the roller channels) so I'm thinking of taking a dremal and some polishing paste and try to clean it up a bit....thoughts?

Also can you get clutch springs stronger than 2000 rpm?

Honestly I think it was worn out,but I have around 17,000 miles on mine,also I went a long time and never changed the rollers because I didn't know that I should.I started attemping to fix a dead spot I had at around 30-40 mph,before I did any mods and that progression lead me to here.As far as whether a new variator is necessary,well it probably depends on what your looking for,different people will give you different answers.

..a new variator will require further tuning, but as a rule, it will increase performance of your scoot...

..usually better acceleration and, as with my multivar, a slightly higher top speed...

Jasil or multivar? Is one better than the other? Sorry again, looking to buy a few things at once. Does an exhaust pipe do much for a stock scoot? If so, can I drill the baffle/remove packing to see similar gains? Thanks again(sorry to threadjack, lol)

..for the money, the best vari you can upgrade to...

..yes i have a technigas next on nina...requires a increase in jet size, and variator tuning after install...

..but it IS worth it!!!

I never changed the jet on mine after the Next-R pipe change,but it does not seem to be running lean either.There are two jets with the Super 9 when new if I'm not mistaken,and the dealer I bought it from had already changed the boss to the one without the shoulder and unplugged the rev limiter so I'm guessing that maybe they also installed the bigger jet,but it is pure speculation.You definately need to change rollers with the pipe change.The Next-r comes with 6.5 gram rollers which are basically junk,I'd chuck em' immediatly and grab a set of stage six or other descent roller to compliment the pipe.I wonder if a bigger jet and airbox would really wake mine up,but damn it's really good now....I also wish now I would have bought the Malossi variator...
