This was by far the best ride to date. I had such a blast. Even on the hardcore inclines the good little scooter never dipped below 55mph. This is the route I took. Pictures to follow.

Thanks man. It was crazy with the temps also. Left Denver at 95 degrees, the middle of the ride it got down to 58 degrees then back to 98 once I hit Denver again. Only in Colorado.

TB, that drive through RMNP is awesome.  Have driven it a few times in the car but would love to drive it on 2 wheels.  That would be a trip!

I lived in Fort Collins for quite a few years. Used to love riding from Fort Collins up Highway 14 all the way to Steamboat Springs and back.   Highway 14 is an incredible ride.

Also if you are in Denver it's worth the short ride up to the top of Mt. Evans. About 60 mile ride but you get to top out at 14,240 feet. The highest paved road in the continental USA. I have ridden it on my bicycle from Idaho Springs.

I did that ride on my Hyosung MS3-250 already and doing it again on my Kymco this Sunday. I love the ride!

This begs the question.......how do the two scoots compare?

The Hyosung is the hot rod. It has twin-cam, 4-valve and fuel injection. At 25 HP it blows the Kymco away on the HWY. My fat a$$ can go 90mph GPS verified on the Hyosung, 77mph top speed on the Kymco. The Kymco has 19.5 HP but way more torque. It is better for city driving and going up hills. As a big guy the Hyosung is much more comfortable on long distances also. I ride the Kymco more often because the fuel tank is 1 gallon bigger and gets 10mpg more than the Hyosung.

BTW. The Hyosung is for sale if you are near Denver. Rebuilt engine and new everything. 6k miles. $1600 cash or trade for 1976 or older full size GM car.
