Not re-jetting will cause your scooter to be running a little bit lean after doing the other two derestrictions so it's a good idea to change the jet.

The jet is not really anymore difficult than the drive boss or CDI. I didn't search cuz I'm in a hurry right now, but I'm sure there are plenty of threads available in this forum on how to re-jet. If you can't find any here do a youtube search and you will find one.

Did a quick search, this looks like it shall suffice though..

In the UK i think the going rate to derestrict an A50 is around £60-£70.

Parts cost under £15 so its worth doing yourself, if you feel comfortable doing it that is.

The carb re jet is actually really easy... Take the seat off to get to the carb remove the little top cover then carefully remove the air intake and output (2 big hoses attached) then gently roll the carb upside down to access the carb bowl cover and remove the cover to get to the jet. Then remove the main jet and replace with the 82 jet. Reverse process to finish the job. Hardest part is making sure the bowl gasket is back in and sealing properly imho..... Easy job go for it!!!

Ps there are some good videos on utube for help too....

...you can run with 80 main and derestricted cdi / boss...some say with better performance than the 82...

..leaner, if not too lean, is quicker....
..every mod (action) necessitates a (reaction) mod..
