measuring variator rollers
« on: July 23, 2012, 11:47:05 AM »
I have a 2010 Kymco people 150. I want a little more performance out of it, so I'm goint to install lighter rollers and a 1000lb clutch spring. I want to take it apart today and see what my stock rollers are. I have a postal scale to weigh them, but I don't know what measurements I need. How do I measure to ensure I order the correct rollers?

..weight is in grams..

..can also measure diameter and width in mm to get the correct deminsions for your scoot..

..i think your oems are 15 grams and 18 X 14 mm....

The OEM rollers in my 2005 People 150 are 18 mm x 14 mm x 15 g.  FYI, if you're considering going with Dr. Pulley sliders, I replaced my OEM rollers with 13 g sliders and they performed very similar.  So, if you're considering using sliders and you're looking for more low end acceleration, go with less than 13 g.
