Extreme Winds
« on: May 22, 2009, 05:50:30 PM »
Wednesday here In Minneapolis the wind was unreal, about 25 MPH with gusts to around 50 MPH !! The wind kicked up so much dust that the sky had a Tannish Pall about It !! After a White knuckle 9 mile ride home, my eyes felt like they were their very own Little Gravel Pits.i am going to start carrying some Aviator Googles In the Top-Case from now on.
Hope everyone has a terrific Memorial Day Weekend !! Get out on your scoots!!

It's not just wind.  If you had seen my windshield and helmet visor after riding from Virginia to International Falls and back, you would realize that eye protection should be worn ALL the time.

We regularly have winds in the autumn up to 80 mph every year. A lot of fun driving under those conditions...

I road with Geezerbob on that ride from Virginia to International Falls and let me tell you there was alot of different colored bug juice in "lovely splattered patterns"on my face shield. When those huge big bugs hit your helmet and make that rocking thunk noise I am very grateful I have the good commonsense to protect my lovely face with plastic. I did get nailed on my exposed neck and it took off a little skin.

Hi Geezerbob!
