Hello Friends, I'd love your input on my new badass scoot

I just picked up a 2010 A125 16" with 3600km and have consequently fallen in love (first 2-wheeled ride)

It has been serviced once at 300km, and the previous owner said he has not driven it in the past year where at worst I assume it was stored improperly.

It starts up right away (battery seems alright), drives good, sounds good, but I am just wondering as to what I should do as far as maintenance goes.

I am going to change the engine oil, transmission oil, and maybe lube up some parts. What else should I be looking to do considering the circumstance of the scooter being idled for a year.

I thank any and all input friends and am a proud new owner of an agility 125!!

Put in new oil, check the tires and inflate to the proper pressure. I presume you have Chen Shin tires on your scoot.
Put on new tires ASAP because they are a piece of s..t. If you do have to ride on them be very careful on wet roads.
Transmission oil should be changed every 6000km so you're OK with that.
If everything else is OK ride on...

I will be changing the oil with some 10w40 semi-synthetic engine oil and will be picking up a pump w/ a tire pressure gauge.

The tires are Kenda M/C 120/80-16 on the rear and 100/80-16 on the front, should I change these out as well?

Don't use semi-synthetic, either use full synthetic or mineral. Semi-synthetic oils are a marketing hype. You don't get your money's worth.

I have 23700km on my scoot and have used semi synthetic oil from the beginning. First it was 15w-50 (Motul 5100), now 10w-40 (Motorex), no problems, no consumption.

The 125ccm should have no problems any with kind of oil, but full synthetic is a complete waste of money since the oil should be changed every 2000-3000km.

Can't give you any input on the Kenda tires. Take it easy in the beginning, and see how they "feel"

I personally have had several different Kenda tires, and do not recommend them for various reasons. Check out Bike Bandit  http://www.bikebandit.com/  They have the best price tire guarantee. Stick with a top brand because your ass is literately on the line.

I went with the cheapest 10w40 oil which happened to be semi-synthetic. My oil cap nut was tough to get off and I think I stripped it somewhat, although I can still get it off fine. Anyone else have this issue? I guess I need to invest in a proper socket wrench...

When I have money, I will get some Michelin tires, but for now, I don't ride in the rain and won't be driving in the winter so I'm not too worried about em yet.

Do you mean the drain plug at the bottom? Mine sheared off leaving the threads inside the case. It is an '05 gy6 engine that was most likely never opened. I would strongly suggest investing in a tool kit. Maybe a Sears set for 100.00. Then you can go nutz taking all kinds of things apart. I would also suggest taking the neighbors stuff apart till you get used to your new tools.
