Well it is more or less finished
The 160cc cylinder gives alot more torque and coupled with the 17/39 gearing you can drive around at the same speed with lower RPM's.
Mine does a steady 80KPH at 6'000 rpm while it was nearer 8K before.
Jettting was (and still is) a nightmare, the 30mm carb (26mm slde) was a no-go no matter what jets were fitted but the original Kymco carb (26mm with 20mm slide) works VERY well using the original pilot jet #40 but the original main jet #92 was too small. I had no joy using Keihin jets (the proper ones for this carb) and ended up with a Mikuni 97.5 main jets and the needle on the 2nd lowest setting.
I now have a 27mm carb (22mm slide) that I am playing with right now which is more or less running quite well but I havn't really noticed any performance gain so I think I will refit the original carb and retain bettery economy.
Racing CDI wasn't as great as the ebay add claims (no suprise) but it does feel a little more "punchy" with it fitted.
Universal "megaphone" exhaust fitted, sounds fantastic but a little loud
HID light conversion was outstanding!!!!!!!!!!! if you do nothing else do this
night driving is now a pleasure.
Top speed now is an indicated 115KPH (just over 70mph) before 100KPH (nearly 63mph) would be about it. This is on the flat and I'm a fat git too
I have touched 120KPH downhill, any faster and I think it would explode.
I think a higher compression piston in the future might help but for me it's too much work/expense for a small bit more power. After all the bike isn't really built for high speed and the couple of times I've done 120KPM it feels a bit dodgy.
