people 50 2 stroke no spark CDI??

Hi Guys

what a great forum
I have a 2001 people 50 2 stroke that only has 125 original miles.
Last week it as it was running it stalled a couple of time. then would not start again. I checked the spark plug for spark and there was none both before and after the plug.

I ordered a CDI and coil  from monster parts and it still would not start . The CDI that they send me had a different kymco part #
My original is a KFA6-E001 Green connectors
The replacement is also a kymco unit part # KDU 1104 White connectors
The original has the 4 pin connector on the lower right and the 2 pin directly above it
The replacement has the 2 pin on the lower right and the 4 pin above it
they are both the same size.
After calling Monster they said that the one they sent me was for a 4 stroke Agility  but that it should work

That bike must have sat for a long time. I'd add a little seafoam with every fuel filling.

..well, they are both "dc" cdi's, but i dont think they have the same profile...

..just for sh**s and giggles, how did you check for spark??




..btw, that 2001 ppl is  one helluva quick scoot if you ever get her running..

..it has the larger carb than later ppls, unrestricted driven pulleys and virtually unrestricted exhaust...

..they have 90kmh on the speedo, and i had mines pegged way past that back in th day..

It was the CDI I ordered one from the scooter shop . it started right up. For a 50cc it surprisingly fast . Any easy mods that you can recommend?

Their are several things that can be done to get you there.
That is one nice ass find, only have 125 on the dial.....
