If you ever get round to fitting a Leo or similair zaust then you cant hear the filter :D

i never got on with the noice thing. did this to some cars in the past mx5 etc free flow exhausts and k&n etc sounded realy good but sounded a lot faster than it was. so when i had my foot down felt like i was not going fast but sounded v quick. was a little embarising.
on a scoot id hate every one looking to see what is coming and 5 min later you pass them another 5 min still in sight lol

I am exactly the same Skippy and agree totally. Embarrassing when everyone turns to see a huge 10,000ccc Ducati coming down the road only to see me on a 50cc scoot tootle past at 45mph  :D

Only reason i fitted the Leo is cos its stainless steel so wont rust, i got totally sick of re-painting my stock zaust every 6 months or so and it totally transformed the look of my A50, much nicer and cleaner looking. Same for the air filter too, dont really feel i gained any significant performance, maybe a little freer reving and a little tiny bit nippier, could all be psychological tho. Just like the cleaner look of the open filter.

It does sound immense going thro tunnels tho or underground car-parks, almost got a boner 1st time i heard it  :D

Yeah police are a risk, if you back off the throttle to half way it goes quiet tho till they pass. Can be hard to do if going uphill tho
