cable splitter

This may be a dumb question, but how do I take it apart to replace the throttle cable for a different one? The one that came with the new carb unscrews, this one is a little different.

When I put my Dellarto 19mm carb on I had to  remove the cable that came with the carb and fit the original cable to the slider on the new carb.  And after 2 years the cable is frayed and I have had to cut the engine off with the kill because the throttle got stuck.  So, if you do use the original cable, try to guide it straight up from the carb so it does not rub on the edge of the tube it runs out of.
