Attended the TMI Scooter Club Meltdown 2012...Great weekend and awesome event. Saturday was a great day for a ride and I choose to do the "slow" ride as a new scooterist...didn't want to slow down the big scoots! We did 60 miles through the scenic roads of Central PA...beautiful and well planned. The plans put in ahead were evident...blockers provided, no turn confusion, constant, even speed and always kept the group together. Lunch half way and even a gas stop...just in case!
Back at the campground we waited for the classics and the long ride to return so games could begin. There was a gymkana, a slow scooter race and a relay...all great fun to see! Good live music, delicious food, terrific raffle prizes...and a late night slip and slide! Club members walked around with "atomic" jello shots glowing green...TMI stands for Three Mile Island, you know!
Ride today with those who had not yet left for home was to the PA State Capital.
So many beautiful scooters! What a great group of people...all willing to share info and help out. Following Streido's advice was a good thing...
Made for a very pleasant weekend!
