I would have rated this a 3-beer job - but my doc has me on low carbs and it was too early in the morning for whiskey (at least in conjunction with tool use). TRICK - to loosen the bolt holding the shocks use a flat ratcheting wrench. It's a very tight space and sockets of any depth are very hard to work with - plus you don't want to mess up the paint. After that everything is very easy. The SR-89 is the Givi carrier kit for all current U.S. Xciting 500s - at least until the new dual headlight version come out this Fall. Patience is of course always a virtue. I have a Givi V46 Monokey in matt black and it locks into place with a solid click. Took it for a spin and even with the strong winds off the Gulf I didn't even notice it was there.
