..probably had to run the idle mix screw way in to get it to idle...

..i'm just sayin...

..probably need no larger than a .037" drill bit...

..if you have a smaller drill, saay a .038 you can solder that jet, then re-drill...

Ok just took scoot for a quick ride to run a delivery to a customer. At WOT I can hear carb spitting back thru air cleaner. So jet must be to big!

No I've done screwed up one jet I'm not gonna try to resolder it & then redrill it. I'll just pick up a few larger jets & take it from there.

..gotta be careful not to get solder on the threads...lol..i did that a cpl times...

Well wordslinger I can solder like nobodies business. sh** man I can solder the old brass fuel tank floats back together when they crack & start leaking. So I may take a crack at this then.

..i just put the jet, threads up, on a hotplate....

..get the element good and red...

..touch the solder to the inside of the jet..cpl times...

..lift it off the plate with a pair of insulated needle nose...

..douse it with a lil water....


..sometimes i tap the jet on the element to assure the solder has went thru..

..some solder primer assists, but isn't a requirement...

I was scared to death of the thought of drilling out jets myself.
Just jump right on in there. It's not that bad. Dam sure beats....waiting....and waiting....
BTW, And HELL YES, that jet would be nasty big...
I was running a "90" in mine, now she is at a "87-8"?
I tried going the size of words and that was not working.....lol
