..well, hell...reckon you did the charge correctly...
..not overcharged it...initially..cause that does weaken one...
..considering that all your ground wiring is good, and you're not inadvertantly draining the batt while idle...
..i'm just sayin......

You can check them by the Ohms with a multimeter. Of course the specs are in the manual.
I am terrible when it comes to electrical issues and never mastered the process of the meter.

It sounds like your voltage regulator/rectifier may be faulty.
Put the scoot on the centre stand and let it idle, then use a test meter across the battery terminals and see what voltage you get. Rev the throttle while the meter is still across the battery terminals and the voltage should rise with the rpms. If it does the chances are the stator is ok in my experience. This means its poss the regulator/rectifier that sits on the frame behind the front headlight cover is poss gone bad. Its a small silver metal box a little bigger than a matchbox. I got a cheap one from a breakers ages ago when mine went cos Kymco wanted near £60 for one here!!! Sure i saw cheap copies on fleabay recently.
There is a way to test the regulator with an meter but i cant remember the values you should look for. If i find it i'll post it.

Meant to say Blue.....turn off your lights when doing the test on the battery. Think it should rise to around 14v or something when twisting the throttle.
