Indicators - Self Cancelling?
« on: September 06, 2012, 05:32:39 PM »
I really miss the self cancelling indicators from my previous scoot (Honda FES250).

Anyone fitted an indicator self-cancelling module to the Downtown? or alternatively an audible buzzer, similar to http://audicator.com/audicator.htm

Thanks

ps I am fairly competent with a soldering iron and could possibly make up my own, given a suitable circuit diagram.

My Super 8 has an audible turn indicator so I won't forget to turn it off...  Doesnt all Kymcos have this?

Here in EU, they all have the sound indication.
You can get that buzzer from the kymco parts catalogue.

Yes indeed they do, but I find that at low revs it's ok but at higher revs tends to be inaudible (at least to myself).

Better get used to turning them off.. most bikes don't have the audible warning, not to mention
self canceling.

Mine have a fairly audible clicking sound that I can hear through the full face when stopped or below about 10mph, after that I can't hear them.  But I am just in the habit of  signal, turn, push to cancel.  Signal, turn, push, signal, turn, push.

My Harley buddy rode my 300 and said "No self cancelling?  WEAK!"  Well, it is not a $20k VROD.
