lol dont know how. or i would. just put her back to gether. she idles fine. only gave a little rev as kids in bed. all looks good. no oil.

when i get a belt tomorrow i will strip it down for a pic. all you can see is the metal putty stuff. a half moon round the crank oil seal all round the case top to bottom..

not worked. just checked the a50 and a little oil under her. taken the cvt cover off etc and oil over the fix and crank seal....
dont know if the fix is leaking or not, cant see how it can. so may have to cut the crank seal out, just so i can olimanate that. if it still leaks after new crank seal, dont know what to do.

I would ask Kymco direct if they can get a new crankcase half for you and just replace it if they have them cheap. Or just biy a 2nd hand engine for it. Or buy a cheap non-runner off ebay or Gumtree and use it as a parts scoot, take what you want off it then paet out the rest and get your money back.

Looks like its just a waste of your time fixing it every week or so, doesnt want to hold. I jus wonder if other cheapo chinese scoots case would fit?

I think the 12" wheel scoots like ours are the longcase but the ones with 10" wheels are the shortcase versions.

Maybe see if you have a bike breakers near your area?

may try welding first. if i weld a plate over the casing and the bolt it should hold. but god help if engine goes boom as i will not be able to strip it down, with a plate over the tensioner bolt. i just dont think i have the confedance to do a total rebild. or the money for another engine

Maybe email these guys and ask if they have anything, they got me some great marine paint from the US that i couldnt find anywhere else... http://www.frost.co.uk/

Or this stuff gets good reviews.... http://www.maplin.co.uk/metal-epoxy-resin-46006 and this is meant to be ok.... http://www.hemmingsdiy.co.uk/quickste.htm.  Whatevet you use i would let it cure for a few days just to be sure its gone off properly.

thanks streido but its game over.....
just took it to the chinese scooter geru near by. he said thet nothing would hold as the presure is too great. he could weld it over for me for £25 for the welding. not bad but he then needs to strip the whole engine down as the heat will duck up all the seals and damage the inside. strip the engine down at a cost of £105 but i have to take him just the engine...
i dont know what to do. im a big fan of keeping engines and bodys etc  original. so dont fancy getting a second engine to replace it un less i have to.
i also dont have the confedence to strip the engine down im ok with most but i hate engine timing etc and the tools to strip will probly cost a fortune also.
i could also find another agility and use mine as a doner for it but all costs money which i have not got (will have to go deep into overdraft which is high already)
 what should i do?

If it was me i would keep it till i found a cheap agility engine on ebay, im sure i saw them go for £50-£60 before  :-\

Would also check ebay for local complete scoots, preferably another A50, going cheap like stolen/recovered bikes and build one good one from the two bad ones.

I know what you mean about doing a full rebuild cos i would be the same. I do want to do it at some point but only on a spare scoot and only when i can afford the loss if it all goes bang!

Not looked up whats involved in swapping just the crankcase? Do you need to split the case or is it a seperate bit? If you do decide to part with it then you may get the most money by parting it out on ebay rather than selling as one complete lot.

I still think you could pick up a cheap engine tho locally, theres thousands of A50's around here. Mine only cost me £380 with full yrs MOT and tax with 5000/6000 miles on it. A complete engine saw should be pretty simple to do.

the case is bolted together left and right, with the crank and shafe   sandwiched between. so would have thought every thing dismantaled top to bottom just to get the 2 halfs off, he has a used case for £40 but i will still need to strip all engine down. i keep looking on ebay, im sad every day look at all kynco 50 products "newly listed" one used engine £250 devivered. no cases. bikes tend to be cheepest £450.
gumtree seems to be better at around £300 used bike but nothing for 100mile. not much following of kymco round hear.im starting to think £105 is not a bad price as when i take how much it would cost for me to strip with tools and oil seals etc would prob cost more....

Just had a quick look on fleabay, saw this but too expensive http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/58-plate-Kymco-Agility-50-Engine-unit-/320970665123?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item4abb57aca3&_uhb=1

If you look at the engine tho you can see the crankcase looks like its a seperate part and not part of the main block? Surely if you can find a cheap crankcase bit it would be possible to swap that out? May need to look into it more to see how it all comes apart then decide? If it is like you said then you may be fu©ked.

Up to you i s'pose, bummer to get all new parts on it and it decides to go all broke on you  :(

The price he quoted to weld it is ok and the labour costs dont sound expensive for stripping down an engine. You will prob find its pretty simple to remove the engine to take it over if you decide to do that. My vespa engine went in and out in 10-15 mins and was surprisingly easy. Just mark all electrical connections with tape and take pics of any parts in place before you remove them for referemce when refitting it. Or wait and keep checkin ebay, the season is almost over for fair-weather riders so some may be selling up.
