Any opinions on Non-Oxy Fuel vs standard Premium on Xciting with Fuel Injection?
Thanks!

Hello Dice!
I have the 09 Xciting 500 Ri and I love it! It's a big brute with lot's of power and G-force. I love to just get on mine after work and ride the back roads of rural Alabama. Had an unfortunate run in with a deer two weeks ago. Walked away with five broken ribs, torn ligament in right knee, and broken bone in my right foot. The X was scraped down the right side of the fairing but no real damage. Kymcos are bullet proof. The ONLY fuel I use is high octane ethanol free. The 500cc motor runs smooth with a nice deep exhaust sound. It starts the first time every time. I am really pleased with this scoot and plan on having it for many many years.
 Be safe,
Mike
By the way the deer was not hit or injured. It's in a pine thicket with his buds laughing his ass off.

I live in the land of ethanol.  Super every time.  I also add about 1-2 oz of Seafoam to every fill up.

Techron, vpower shell, Zombie and some of the other forum members will rave about some magical unicorn piss.
I wish I could ride more and drive less!

Thanks guys! I have added Sta-Bil to Ehanol gas but have filled with Non-Oxy the past 2 times.
Sorry about the wreck with the deer! Hope your recovery goes well.
I actually have an Xciting 250ri, but lurk in this forum as there is not much to read over in the 250 forum!
Hope that's cool with everyone!

The EPA requires oxygenated fuel in my county.  I've been running it for years in scooters without any issues and really haven't heard of any issues among other riders.  I represented a Big Oil Company for a number of years and I buy Chevron or Texaco gas.  The ingredients they add to the gasoline are supposed to be effective in cleaning and scavenging.

Your entirely welcome to join in with the 500's. What's 250cc between friends? That's the only difference between the two designs. All other design components are the same as far as I know,
(except the better MPG's). In fact I almost bought the X 250Ri. The 500cc unit was the last one left and I got a fantastic deal. I went to our local Suzuki dealer looking for a Burg 650 but they had just sold the only one they had. But they had these scooters from kymco. What a coincidence. I went home and got on line and could find nothing but good comments about Kymco. There were some complaints about the company being slow to ship parts but that was the only negative I could find so I went back the next day, left with a quality scooter, and saved myself $4000!
