kymco 50 Agility (4 Stroke) 2012 cdi problems

hi my son just got his new kymco 50 agility 2012 .but will only do 27mph (sad) so he got a new c.d.i box of ebay but when i fitted it today i found out there a problem the wire from the bike only have 4 wire green wire /blue-yellow wire / black-yellow wire in the 4 way plug and in the 2 plug theres only a blue-black wire ........but on the new cdi box we have 2 green wires 1 yellow wire and 1 red wire ....and black and red in the 2 way plug ...can any one help many thanks new member electron.paul@hotmail.com

Is it the correct cdi? Some will work on other scoots so the colours are not always a match. Do the plugs fit into the cdi? Should be ok ifthey do and its an AC cdi.

Btw the cdi will do little if anything to help it go faster if its still restricted. You need to fully derestrict it 1st.

Do what streido said but you can use the new cdi instead of cutting the stock one. My cdi has black and red in the 2-pin (probably +&-) and two greens a yellow and a blue. Good luck and welcome. I'm new too

My mistake, Agility 50 cdi should be DC not AC.
