Over-sized jet sizes
« on: September 27, 2012, 06:55:41 PM »
Anyone know where to get a hold of some jets that are in the 120-135ish range?

I know I can drill them out and stuff and just haven't got round to doing that... all summer. I'd like to find some I can just throw in and ride with.

I got a 120 from ebay, think they had 130's too. Was advertised as for a 125cc but was correct threads etc and fitted fine.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

I have a 72cc kit with a very free flowing air filter. Everything up to a 120 is still popping. Do you have a link to the ebay page where you found the 12-230's Streido?

120 sounds extremely large to me...

Did you do a plug chop, or did it run better with every larger size jet that you tried - did 118 really run better than 116 or so ?

Or do you just assume it's running lean because the exhaust is popping - which is more often caused by other problems, like a leaking exhaust gasket, failing air cut-off valve in the carb, or a failing cutoff valve in the secondary air system...

Jetting higher than necessary is just a waste of power...

Nah, cant remember the seller, it was a UK seller anyway so may not be much use to you? Just had a quick look on ebay, found the 120:s but cant see larger ??? They def had 130's cos i nearly ordered one. If i find it later i'll post up a link.
