MET-IN Bulb to LED
« on: October 14, 2012, 05:23:46 PM »
I had some cheapo wedge bulbs I got off ebay for $1.79/10. (I think they are 194's).

Took the MET-In bulb out and tried one and it works great! I hope if I ever leave the seat open
it won't kill the battery!

Kymco's OEM bulb is wedge type T6.5 1.7W.
The one you have installed is 0.5 W.

So, it is three times less likely to kill the battery. Or, it will take three times as much time.

Well it is  a factor of 7 times!

Stock = 1.7w = 100ma
LED = 0.24w = 20 ma

Of course we have the dash light drawing power too. Why have people had the battery
drain with such little draw? The batter is 10 AH = 1000 hours to kill it with 100ma draw.

Mine will never hurt the battery a gain.  I has been out for a year and I still don't miss it.
