vivo thats 50 l. X 3.78=189. MPG  congrats. vivo  ( best tale today)    or did you start at the top of a high mountain???

Sorry Dr. McStuffins I think it would be more like 50 kilometers = (roughly) 31 miles x's 4 (again roughly L= Qt.) =124 US MPG. Still quite a feat.

No mods... all stock..... 20-30 miles per hour average speed... no wots (I only do wots during weekends)... my mpg improved drastically when I switched to a JASO MB rated Scooter specific oil... very slippery oil compared to motorcycle oil... and increased my tire pressure to 35 rear, 30 front... these plus a controlled speed really were the reasons... before I got around 80 mpg...

Other factors may be the Iridium plug, weekly cleaning of the air filter, and maybe good fuel choice...


@ de dee...  I take a different route going to work and going home... In going to work, I it's a lot of flat roads and in going home, lots of downhill roads... maybe the downhills also contributed to my good mpg...

Maybe you are curious how I computed.... Well, the distance I travel in one day is 50 kms.... tank's always full every Monday and I fill up with 2 liters every after 2 days... so, that's one liter in one day... so that's 50 kms. per 1 liter... give or take.   It's a routine habit... doing this for almost two years, I think it's quite accurate...

people s 250 only put a few tanks in but so far looks like 70-75mpg

I had a Bajaj Chetak (150cc, four stroke, four speed) that would pull 85 mpg commuting daily and once got 103 mpg on a group trip of 500 miles. That was cruising steady at 45-50 mph on 90 degree days. It had a small windshield, which actually helped the mileage.

The new Stella 150 four-strokes get over 100 mpg also, about the same power as my old Chetak (8 hp)

Royal Enfields (500cc) will pull 85 mpg also and they have hydraulic lifters and an auto chain tightener now.

I know that theoretically the CVT's are supposed to get better mileage (the engine should be able to run at optimum efficiency), but my experience is not. Maybe they have to be "tuned" for mileage where many scooters run a little lighter weights for more bottom end power.

I'm also a WOT type of guy... but have no choice but to do 20 mph...... or 10 mph on sidewalks...

I ride a Like 200i and I average 70 mpg, my best has been 82, and my worst (120 mile trip against a 20-30 mph headwind) 45 mpg. I tend to ride very aggressively. Job

Zx 50 only checked it once so far but it was 60. Scoot is derestricted and I run it wot pretty much all the time since that barely gets me to the speed limit.
