Is driving the same as walking?

In the US we drive on the right side of the road, when we walk down an office hallway or sidewalk we are expected to stay to the right as well, in places like the UK where they drive on the left do you also walk on the left?

I was in both London and South Africa but never found myself in a situation to find out.

you should always walk facing trafic. so if driving on the right you should be walking on the right facing the trafic driving towards you.

Walk Facing Traffic: If there is no sidewalk and you must walk on the side of the road, choose the side where you are facing oncoming traffic. In North America, this is the left side of the road. This gives you the best chance to see traffic approaching closest to you and take evasive action when needed.

It's almost like you didn't read my question.

Let me try and break it down for you all 

If I'm walking down a crowded corridore full of people I stay to the right side of the hall or corridore, if I were in the UK would I walk on the left side of the hall as to avoid a collision with  others?

 in the uk driving and walking are very diffrent. if wallking in uk no one has any respect or code for anything or anyone. every rat for them selves. shopping in asda is hell. no consideration. i treat walking like driving. but not many do.

My Lord! In the US the "crowd" walks on the right, in countries that drive on the left do the crowds walk on the left?

Generally speaking yes.
In the UK it is customary to walk with the woman you are escorting on your left and with her beside the buildings and away from the roadway.
Makes it easier to draw your sword with your right hand and defend her should the need arise.

Its also so you can protect her from passing coaches splashing water on her from the road 
Course nowadays we dont bother and walk wherever we want.

So to answer the question..........No, there are no designated sides for walking on unlike driving. Why would there be???

It does not matter which side of the street you walk down only when you are on a sidewalk that you stay toweard the right or left. If everyone walks all over the place you have to weave through traffic (so to speak), if one stays toward the right or left side of a hall or walk way everyone proceeds smoothly.
