A good Yager alternative ....
« on: October 24, 2012, 12:21:05 AM »
Soo ... I own a Yager GT 200i. I love it because although I know how to drive a full-on motorcycle, scooting is just easier for commuting like I do.

That being said, I rented a Ducati Hypermotard 1100 over the weekend in Santa Barbara, CA through RentaDucati.com (GREAT customer service), and it was a mind-blowing experience. Let's just say 90HP vs. 15 HP makes a big difference.

I'd highly recommend renting a Ducati through these guys if you're in the area and have an opportunity to do so ...

I had a 2005 Multistrada (the "S" model with Ohlin's suspension). It was an awesome bike.
All motor and never felt any bumps in the road! Unfortunately my insurance company wanted
$1000 per year to insure it. My other big bikes are $200 - $250. So I couldn't afford it!

(This after paying $13000 and adding $3000 in accessories!)

I'll always compare my bikes to that one. Especially the suspension. The best!
