Still Liking my Like 200i but . . .
« on: November 03, 2012, 01:58:34 AM »
Still having trouble keeping track of the battery tender connector - it disappears under/inside and can't find it.  I'm going to put the bike up tomorrow for the winter and I'm going to have to take off the cover to get at the (I don't know what to call it) plug that goes into the battery tender.  Am I crazy - what does everyone do?  The first one dragged on the ground and got smashed  - they replaced it for me but who knows where/what condition it is in now since I haven't seen it in several weeks.  Sheesh - what am I a dummy or something?  (Don't answer that question - just answer the earlie question please - I've had a bad week.) ???

Hi Pat,

Once you get the cover off and get the wire positioned where you want it - use a tyewrap / zip tie to hold the cable in place.

I routed the loop connector out the battery box and down through the plastic floorboard and lower under carriage molding so that it protrudes near the kickstand. It sticks out about 3 - 4 inches. So far after 800 miles not a single scratch on the connector. As mentioned you could use wire ties to keep it in place.

I still like plugging it into the cigarette lighter receptacle that I installed on my Yager.  Works great.

The like cuts the connection to the accessory port when the key is off. :(
