Torque driver

Hi guys,
 
I installed a new torque driver (motoforce) with straight groves. I noticed that all is quit tight. I mean that the pulley doesn't open and close so easily. Does a new torque need a little time to settle before it runs smooth?

Did you remember to grease inside the torque drive where it sits on the shaft?

Yes i did :)  I'm gonna take her out for a spin today and see how it perform after a while.

Edit:  Ok...returned from work and took the clutch out. Everthing is seems to be allright. The parts are moving smooth now.
Next thing is get the perfect rollerweight :)

Sometimes they just need to run up to speed to get the rear pulley moving properly after you take them out. Good its ok now.

I just got the NCY and I feel a slight difference so far. Anyone care to tell me the difference between the two options I can use. Streido? Skippy? Zombie? One is much steeper than the other.

" The straighter the path, the easier the pulley will be able to change positions. Making a path with no bend would make the rear pulley open and close in a more linear manner. Creating more of a bend would have the opposite effect. You could change the position of the bend as well to suit your preferences. The angle of the paths helps to control how easily the pulley resists opening and closing as well. A path that runs straight up and down would offer little resistance to change, while a path with a great angle would resist change." - basically thats it in a nutshell. Taken from here http://49ccscoot.com/tqmod.html which shows a free mod that can be done on the stock t.drive.

Think i may order a straight cut one soon to try out and do some testing and tuning over xmas.

..ive tried NCY and NARAKU torque drivers in my super 9...

..they dont last, they wear out quickly, even with frequent TLC...




..hard to beat the oem....
..every mod (action) necessitates a (reaction) mod..

I believe that, now that my NCY is broken in its like night and day. I'm probably going to upgrade my torque drive variator and clutch, if Santa is good to me, haha over Xmas

I went back on the A50 this week for the 1st time in a lot of weeks and it felt terrible  ???

Granted going back down to a 4t 50cc from a well ported and nicely tuned 2t 125cc i would expect to feel a bit slow etc, but right away it just felt a bit lame  :(

I know i've been neglecting the Kymco recently so havent kept on top of tuning etc, did check the belt and that looks to be on its way out so i ordered up a new one. Down-jetted too from a 92 to a 90 main for winter and put in new rollers which helped a bit,still feels lame now tho. Hopefully the new belt i ordered comes today and i can fit that tomorrow which will hopefully get me back up in performance again to where i had it. I felt the revs drop right off once the T.D twists open past about half way sp was thinkin the straight cut one may help this a little? I may just need to go back down to the 5.1g rollers again from the 5.5g ones i just put in.

Roll on summer so i can get back on my 2 stroke and forget worrying about going up hills  :D. Im a 2t convert now, doubt i would ever buy a 4t again under 125cc, certainly if/when i ever buy another 50cc it WILL be a 2t.
