I always put the piston on the crank 1st, THEN install the jug... To Me, It was to hard to try the other way...

Doesn't matter. It is easier to put the piston on the crank first. Then just slide the cylinder over the piston. Make sure the ring gaps are aligned on the locators first.

There is a right way and a wrong way to install the rings. Upside down is no good. No oil ring on 2 strokes.

Have you actually received the kit yet?

That is just a generic picture. That thin one looks like an oil ring. 2 strokes have no oil ring.

Just looked at that pic again... I have no idea what that is. I retract my previous statement. Doesn't really look like an oil ring.

Looks funny. It's not round but like a polygon shape.

Another question no arrow on piston to point to what side.  but there are to holes on piston does that face exhaust side cause intake is on the side on moped.  so does it face to rear tire or handle bars is the question?

Well damn... Check out this OEM diagram. It shows that same funny ring bellow the bottom ring.

Sure wish Zombie was around he'd tell you exactly what you need to know

Diagram doesn't really help you orientate the piston does it. Sorry I can't help more, I've never torn apart my ZX. I want to say the ring gaps go away from the exhaust port. Don't quote me on that though. I've only put a BBK on my People, not my ZX. Best thing I can tell you to do is search the forum. Look for zombie's posts. He's very knowledgeable, especially when it comes to the ZX.

The crinkled ring is to put under the bottom ring, I guess it helps it seat better.
What ever side of the piston doesnt have the cut out for the boost port is the side you put towards exhaust. generally there is a half moon cut area on the piston skirt for the boost port, which is opposite of the exhaust port.
